review 1: I almost stopped reading this book of short stories after the second one. Some a bit abstract but the later stories are powerful. Although Basu is a well know Indian writer few of the stories are based in India but all somehow have a connection. I think it is the first book by an Indian author I have read that did not get it's identity from India. It made me wonder if too many Indian authors have been forced into that genre.He is quite a writer.
review 2: Its an absolutely amazing compilation of short stories by Basu.The first story revolves around two characters who only know each other through letters and their sweet friendship turns into marriage.Every minute details gives you a feeling of tranquility.The movie which was directed by Arpana Sen was the adapta... moretion of the first story.Raul Bose as Snehamoy and Raima Sen as Sandhya leaves you with sad happiness and tells us that love knows no boundaries.A must reader. less
