review 1: Great book - easy read with good characters. The main character Cory, is a strong female lead with her own problems she tries to keep them for herself. Nick, her counterpart is a strong male , who learns more about himself and is willing to let her lead than the other way around. It is definetly a nice change od male / female roles, which in rather enjoyed.All other characters are equally interesting esp. Cory's Dad, who could easily fill his own book. Lanie Malone wrote a nice story and I hope she continues the series - I for sure would love to read more about the Darling's crew .
review 2: I enjoyed this book a lot. A strong start for a series. Cory owns a club that serves supes & humans. All of her employees are supes that are hiding for one reason or anot... moreher. Cory herself doesn't let anybody know exactly what she is. Her adoptive father shows up asking her to take in his son and a group of other supes that are hiding while a council member is trying to slaughter them. Cory and his son are attracted to each other but she's been burned so bad in the past she does everything she can to not feel for him. This book has a ton of action, steamy romance, & you can't help but admire Cory's traits. I will for sure read the next ones! less
