review 1: Like many, Harry Potter changed my life. The books came to my attention when I was dealing with depression. It felt amazing to fall into Harry's world and escape. If it weren't for the books I would have no TBR List a mile long or be running a book blog. So, Thank you Mr. Potter!Dear Mr. Potter is heartwarming and heartbreaking. This is a book every Potter fan should read. If you do get the chance, make sure to have some tissues handy. Each letter is quite moving. I loved reading all these letters and stories, it's such a good feeling, knowing that there are others out there that have been moved by these books. A wonderful sense of community.
review 2: I started reading this today and I lasted 20 pages before I had to stop because I couldn't stop crying. I'm
... moregoing to take it slowly from now on.Update: Finally finished. This book is so amazing because it truly makes me feel like I'm not alone. Obviously Harry Potter has changed my life by influencing what I do -- listening to wizard rock, watching youtube, etc. -- but what this book really emphasized is how Harry Potter has changed who we ARE. It's made us compassionate, loyal, brave, and intelligent people, or at least people who have learned the value of those characteristics. It's made me an imaginative person who believes that love will always overcome death, and for that I will be forever grateful. less
