review 1: 2.5 starsTrina Stewart is trying to live the hollywood dream. She's not trying to become an actress but instead wants to be on the otherside behind the camera. Her 100,000 debt will prove that she's taken the necessary steps to get where she wants so why can't she find that dream job to get her where she wants to be. When a sexy neighbor moves in the vacant apartment upstairs but too bad he seems repelled by Trina.Unfortantlly the characters didn't invest too much important for me. I found them to be almost on the verge of annoying, and I couldn't stay focused in the storyline and plot I felt it kinda moved all over the place. I didn't enjoy the relationship between Trina and Matiu, it fustrated me honestly and felt their arguements were petty didn't warrant the outcomes t... morehat they did.On the up-side, I did find this book to be humourous and there are parts in this story that are laugh out loud funny. Lucie Simone definitely understands the chick-lit genre and this book has a little bit of everything, drama, hilarity, and romance. I wouldn't say you need to run out and buy this book, but it was worth a read, and i'm glad that I had the oppurtunity to read it.
review 2: Have a free afternoon? This is a good book to fill your time with. Easy, non-heavy entertainment. The relationship between Trina and Matiu is funny to watch and they each try to fit in with each other. The book was very easy to read to read. One thing I had an issue with was the language. While I am certainly not shy, some choice words were added into the narration. It seemed a bit off to me. It would make more sense if one of the characters if the characters had said them. There were other scenes where the language was questionable. While funny to read, it didn’t add anything to the story line and felt a bit forced.Aside from that the story was good and the author shows potential. If you are looking for some glitz, romance, or comedy, this book is worth picking up. less
