review 1: Lettura leggera, forse troppo.
review 2: This book was terrible. I love Sophie Kinsella and her books, so I thought I'd her series as Madeleine Wickham a try. I read the other ones and they were okay - but t
... morehis was absolute trash. This book is about a bunch of rich people constantly comparing what they have and how much of it they have to everyone else and trying to impress each other - when they're supposed to be friends. There are real issues in this book - marriage troubles, betrayal, broken friendships, lying, intentionally hurting people you're supposed to care about, yet none of that is focused on until the very end. The issues are brushed under the rug as the reader is constantly reminded of the amount of money the characters have and how much that instead of their relationships with friends, family and spouses matter. It's only util the very end where things start to change even slightly, but by then it's too late (at least for me). By then I know these characters and understand their personalities and it's too late to convince me that they actually care about anything other than their money and perfect little rich life. Disgusting. less
