review 1: This is truly a gruesome, grisly book. I don't know yet if I recommend it. I read it out loud to the kids. They were repulsed but kept asking for more! It was funny, but with a VERY dark humor. The author is English, and the recipes are a mix of very broad (and incorrect and offensive) stereotypes, and twists on well-known ingredients, recipes and chefs. It has inspired Emma to write her own book: How to Cook Cats. Have you read it? What do you think of it?

... moreake on summer reading visits unless you have a teacher who will object to sentences like: "If there's any greater happiness than smelling a small child gently simmering in the pot then I'm sure I don't know what it is, unless of course it's the sound of the oven door clanging shut on another one of the nasty little creatures." I mostly liked it but after awhile it got a little too ewwww even for me. less

Well-written and very well-illustrated! Bought this for the artwork, kept it for the writing!

Kid's book. Mostly grossout jokes and a few bad puns. Not worth your time.

My 11 year-old grandson enjoyed this and caught the humour in it.
