review 1: A series of anecdotes regarding the author and his daughter which are cute but sometimes cutesy. The author also is a bit of a hipster which is fine because he's a food critic in Seattle what do you expect. There is no sage wisdom to be found to convincing your child to eat interesting foods to be found in this book but it's reassuring in a sense that even this guy can't get his toddler to be less picky. A few recipes I wouldn't mind trying with Pete but since I got the Kindle edition of his one, it's not going to happen.
review 2: I really enjoyed this foodie view of parenting and the relationship between the author, his daughter and cuisine. As someone with a kid who is fascinated with cooking, a lot of this book was familiar to me. At times, I felt like Tony
... more could have written some of the scenes. It was simultaneously reassuring and discouraging to see that even the most adventurous eating child still falls into "kid" eating patterns. less

Laughed out loud and immediately bookmarked several recipes to try. So that's a winner .
