review 1: I started playing Fantasy Football a few years ago and soon stumbled upon Matthew Berry's weekly Love Hate Column. I loved the personal stories he included in every column and was bummed that I never ran into him (or knew who he was) when I lived in College Station, TX. This book is part fantasy stories, part life stories. You don't necessarily have to be a fantasy player to appreciate it, but an appreciation of sports is probably helpful. I laughed the whole time I read this book and kept repeating the stories to my husband who probably got a little annoyed after a while. All in all, this is a fun book and a quick read. Definitely recommend it!
review 2: I love fantasy football, but compared to some of the maniacs that Matthew Berry writes about, it's a small
... morehobby for me. While the stories of others' fantasy obsessions are entertaining (and sometimes scary), I love reading Berry's writing. He often comes across self-absorbed (usually on the 06010 podcast), but he does so in such a tongue-in-cheek, "I really don't take myself seriously" manner that I don't dislike him for it (self-absorption usually drives me crazy). He's a regular guy that has become a minor celebrity and seems so grateful for the opportunity. less

This book was not quite what I expected, although it did have some funny moments.
