review 1: "A Place for Family" by Mia Ross a book that yes I enjoyed the overall storyline, I was kind of bored with the lost sheep story line again. This is the fourth book I have read by Ms. Ross and the third one with the lost sheep in it. I admit they were all written differently but still when I saw it show up here in the book I couldn't help but roll my eyes.I did enjoy some of the twists and turns this book took but sadly each and every twist and turn had a predictable ending. I did enjoy the story of John Sawyer after all he was the last of the siblings to find his match, the telling of the story was pretty good, having prior characters such a part of this book helped as well. I did laugh and cry at times. It is a very easy and quick book to read.
review 2:
... moreI won this book from Goodreads first reads, and found it to be very good! The book is about a woman named Amanda who leaves her hometown and best friend to become something better and realizes after losing her job and getting mixed up with a married man(who she didn't know was still married) that there's no place like home. With only one small bag of her belongings and a beat up car that breaks down near her old, male best friend's house she is in for a totally different kind of lifestyle. With the help of her old friend and his family, she learns to believe in herself again and in God. I will be looking for more of Mia Ross's books in the future! less
