review 1: Maybe a 2.5 - this was better than the last couple, so I'm glad I read it (thank you, C.!) I may continue with the series. Because it has been a while since I read one of these I had trouble remembering some of the too-many characters and some of the back story, and while these can stand alone, they make a lot more sense if you've followed the entire story arc. The colloquialisms were much worse than I remembered, and supremely irritating (to say nothing of dating the story). Funny that I can read these but have not been able to tolerate more than a single title of any of Ms. Bardsley's other series.
review 2: This is book 6 in the Broken Heart, Oklahoma series. I've now read them all and I gotta say that this is such a fun series. I mean, yeah, there's a lit... moretle drama going on but for the most part this is your standard light-hearted Paranormal Romance series. There's some sex here, mildly graphic, but nothing like what Lora Leigh writes. If you've liked the others then you'll like this one too. I hear that there's an off-shoot series that follows more of Broken Heart after this ends. less
