review 1: This is an enjoyable short story. Obviously there's not much character development here, especially for Jonathan, which is a terrible shame, because you know you really want to like him (he feels a little like Edward Cullen), but there's no time to really know why Mireya does. I liked the underworld and wanted more time outside of the walled garden and to explore the consequences of these actions. I could go on with my analysis, but I feel like it will ruin some of the mystery of the story.
review 2: I seriously wish this was longer. I read this is like 30 minutes or less, but it totally caught my attention. It begins with a young woman that was brutally attack during her college life and later on encounters a mysterious man named Jonathan Mellon. She begins to
... more type his random, cryptic, college papers for money and later begins to fall in love with him. He shows her "the walled garden," which is filled with magic and begins to find herself. There is so much more to this short story, I wish the author had written more about it, but I definitely will try to search more stories written by her! Recommend, especially if you want a nice short read! less
