review 1: In addition to having great recipes for fresh tomato sauce made in the slow cooker, there are excellent but simple recipes for chicken, beef and pork. Really, they all sound great and I can't wait to try each and every one. She also suggests cooking dried beans with seasoning in the slow cooker to use and/or freeze for later use. I might actually have some success with beans this way. There are also slow cooker veggie and dessert recipes, but really if I've got the main dish in the slow cooker, I can't really be using it for the extras.
review 2: This is a super easy to use cookbook without a lot of fuss and easy to find ingredients. I tried one of the Italian roasts and it came out just perfect! I already had several of the spices (rosemary and thyme) grow
... moreing in the garden so it was easy to incorporate those fresh ingredients as well as dried. I love using my slow cooker and this book really helped expand my horizons. I have to try out one of the chicken recipes as well since these look delicious! less
