review 1: A plucky little book, entirely orthogonal to my entire existence thus far (which is impressive; I'm not really all THAT sheltered). Chock full of clever ideas, and ideas and stories that are unexpected, and ideas that fall flat on their face…and then bounce and somehow fly along and pick me up.This is strange medicine for a mild case of ennui, or existentialitis (damn it! stop with the autocorrection GoRe Robot!), but it works.One problem, having liked this soooo much, now have no clue where the next read in this vein can come from. Get on it, GoRe Robot, that's what we pay you for :)

Also, when the narrator emphasizes the extent to which he is surprised by the willingness of an audience to elect to listen to a speaker, it is apt to make the reader wonder why she is electing to spend her time with the book... However, the essay about the noisy outdoor patio saved the book for me. less
