review 1: This is the first I have read from Molli Moran and have to say I liked it. The whole romance of Quinn and Jonah reminded me of a Nicholas Sparks novel so romantic and believable. All Quinn wants is someone to love her for who she is and Jonah is the guy. Yet like all romances there is a villain and unfortunately it is a person that Quinn has tried for years to get love from but has failed. This is a definitely a romance that not only seemed so lifelike but you can feel the love, heartache and the passion that is still there. Loved it.
review 2: Disclaimer: I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. As You Turn Away tells us the story of Quinn Reynolds and Jonah Walker. After a bad break up they haven't seen or spoken to each other in 4 years. The story
... morestarts when they both return to their hometown for different reasons. A tragedy in Quinn's life pushes Jonah into feeling like he has to see her besides still feeling like she abandoned him. Both characters have a journey to go through in this book, not only in their relationship but also in their relationship with their family and themselves. This book was a good surprise, I really enjoyed reading it and from the beginning I loved the way the author described Jonah and Quinn's relationship and I loved the scenes with Jonah and his brothers. It was emotional and I believed in the main characters' connection - the flashbacks were a big help. This isn't just a love story, though, it involves other important topics and being told in both points of views, I really felt like I knew their story and how they felt. One thing that I didn't understand was regarding Quinn's mother. She was so cold compared to Quinn's memories from childhood and I thought there would be an explanation to why she became so mean and cold, I mean just because they had more money would her personality change that much?It was a good story with likable characters, so if you like to read about love, friendships, and family, you should read it. If this is the beginning of a series about the Walker boys, I would certainly like to read the other ones. less
