review 1: Let me preface this review with the fact that I don't usually read non-fiction, however, this book piqued my curiosity, and I'm glad it did! First let me commend Mosab for his incredible bravery in making all of the difficult choices that he made, for having followed his conscience, and for having remained true to his beliefs. In the face of evil, he remained strong--his actions saved countless lives! Mosab Hassan you are my hero!In many ways this book seems more novel than truth, but it is the truth! The son of one of the founders of the terrorist organization Hamas, Mosab, somehow found his way to believe that my enemy is not my enemy, but my friend. He became the most important spy in the history of Israel, known as "The Green Prince. Somehow he managed to help the Israe... moreli's as a spy while at the same time protecting the man he loved most, his father, and the rest of his family. Every thing he did was based on what became his adopted Christian belief, a belief based on a deep yearning for peace and brotherhood in the Middle East.Mosab has paid dearly for remaining true to his heart. He spent years as an Israeli prisoner, suffering. He lost the love of his family when they disavowed him. Hopefully, they will wake up and embrace him one day. He lost his homeland, which he dearly loves. He has spent what must seem like a lifetime on the run.Every day, I will pray for Mosab, for his safety in a world that is full of danger. Every day I will pray for Gonen ben Itzhak and his family. Thank you for remaining Mosab's best friend. Everyday I will pray that others will wake up and see the evil of their ways, and learn to live in peace!
review 2: A Palestine perspective, a good read from start to finish. Yousef tells how he changed from a boy believing that Israel should be destroyed to a young adult questioning all that he had been told and eventually, after many years and much experience, concluding that the Palestinians have been exploited for centuries by their own corrupt leaders who continue to mislead them. I won't give away his solution. less
