review 1: A very apt title but I must admit I hated Legacy in this book. I find that her revenge comes too strong. I know she chose to live without Adin in order to save him but I can’t believe she jumped quickly to River. While all of that was happening, I was wondering what happened to Adin. I got my answer and I did not like it. It’s her fault and now she’s crying about it. I really disliked when that happens although I do sympathize for her. I’m not sure if I even wanted to continue reading this story and her ascension seems to be in a slow pacing. I do want to continue reading this series just to know how it ends. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
review 2: This book was the best in the series so far. Adin is not in most of the book, but pl
... moreays a big part towards the end. This book is focused on Legacy being angry at River. She found out that River was responsible for many of the bad things that happened to her and Adin. For instance, River was responsible for bringing Venus into the picture. As suspected, Legacy falls in love with River while she is trying to “play” him. Spoiler Alert if you read further! Most of the book was somewhat predictable until the end. I thought that Casey (the attacker) was actually going to be Hades. I was wrong about that. If Hades wants Legacy so much, why have we not met him yet? There are no other men in Legacy’s life, so there is no clue who Hades might be. I was almost certain that it would be Casey. Imagine my surprise when Casey ended up dead. There went that theory. Anyway, I was reading the part where Legacy decides to come clean with River, and to tell him she forgives him. All was going as I expected, and then Adin shows up. Lissa and Olive also show up. Apparently, Lissa told Adin that Legacy was talking to River about bringing Venus into the picture. Adin was pissed when he showed up, so he started being River! Legacy did what she did last time by shocking them. She never expected Adin to fly off the cliff and DIE! I was completely astounded by this! I am now wondering what the rest of the series is going to bring. Is Legacy going to spend the next two books crying because Adin is dead? When she broke up with him she had a very strong (and accurate) reaction. She cried and cried about having to let him go. Just when they agreed to work through their problems together, she kills him. Ouch! Now River is really sad because she cannot end up with him due to what the prophecy says. I am assuming that the remaining books in the series are going to have to do with her acending, but she will have to deal with her broken heart. I wonder what is going to happen to River. She thinks that their bond is now over, because Adin is dead. Also, what is Adin’s mother (Myrha) and grandmother (Rose) going to think about the fact that Legacy killed him? They are probably going to be pissed. So there are a couple of ways this story could go. Either Legacy will ascend or not. She will be with either River or Hades. First she is going to mourn Adin, and probably always love him. In my review of Goddess Sacrifice: Goddess Series, Book #3 that I wished for more action. There was plenty of action in this book. Legacy had a lot of intimate moments with River, then there was Casey, and the whole getting back together with Adin, and finally Adin dying in the fight at the end. River said something about how Legacy “forgave” him for what she did. I wonder if she forgives him now. I guess I will find out in the next two books. It sucks that Adin died, as I really liked his character. I also think the last of Venus has not been seen. She is going to freak out when she finds out Adin is dead. I bet she will be in the next book if not both. I really want to find out who Hades is too! less

Only complaint is how annoying every 5-10 pages the "word" BFF is over used.
