review 1: Again, the sex isn’t to my taste. And Sam’s reasons strike me as more than iffy – but fear will make you do strange things. I should know.Overall, the basic idea provided an interesting concept.I do like that a snippet of lore mentioned in the previous book foreshadowed what would happen here.Well, in the end this is definitely my favourite of the series thus far. The writing’s still not great but I seem to have noticed some improvement – especially in the sex scenes (as much as I don’t care for the sexual dynamics). It’s more emotive now.Although I may just have gotten used to the author’s style.
review 2: The conflicts and issue overcoming to be together is getting better by each book. I don't think quite there yet thou. Perhaps because the re... moreason these two had issues really didn't make sense to me. Yes, fear is irrational and all that... but then again so is my first impression. While this is another bdsm book and harder than the previous book, nothing too extreme or obnoxious to me (though I doubt I will EVER understand pain turning into pleasure and wanting to be hurt) less
