review 1: Continuing on my comedy memoirs phase, picked up Rachel's book which is referenced specifically in a few other books as well as many friendly commentaries on Rachel herself. This book is a refreshing change of pace as while it focuses on her comedy career, she mainly focuses on her self identity and dating failures - especially interesting tinged with her level of fame, not A-list, but very close with many A-listers and she has a very real perspective on it. I admire Rachel for never coming off bitter in a story that frequently discusses her being passed over in various capacities, and then her mature and chill approach to parenting and her relationship toward the end of the book.
review 2: A solid book, though at points one had to wonder where Rachel Dratch wa
... mores going. After the quick SNL chapters, she delves into her post-SNL life with some amusing tales about her dating life. At various points I felt she was stretching out the book like an showman is asked to stretch out a scene through fill-in material, but the last few chapters were page turners. So, if you end up reading this humorous book, stick with it despite any feelings of meandering chit chat. less

She didn't have enough story to fill the memoir. It was funny at times but mostly rambling.

Fun, light read. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a little comic perspective on life.

I wouldn't call this 'side-splitting' but it was a good story
