review 1: My favorite part about this book was sharing it with my 11 year old daughter. I believe she read at least half of it but wasn't too interested in talking about it. Shocker! I like this concept. I wish the stories would have embellished a bit more. The most interesting stories were those told from women who went through this in the 1930s/1940s and how talking about this was taboo... and the belt. Yikes! I am happy to say we have more comfortable options now. I enjoyed the stories but was done a little over half of the way through. A great read to share with the up and coming women of the world.
review 2: Rachel Kauder Nalebuff collected women’s stories about their menarche and created a book named, appropriately, My Little Red Book (which is, coincidentally,
... moresmall and red). I’ve been using this as my workout read since it’s easy to put down and pick up again later. The stories are generally quite short and come from a range of age groups. I think it’s a neat idea and great to normalize this event, seeing as many of us experience it! less

I wish I had this book when I was 13. Answered all the questions that all girls have.

A book that was begging to be created - the end result is brilliant.
