Etched in Bone

The end of a much loved series can be a little bit bitter sweet at times.  But an end to something special always is.  You want the story to be whole but at the same time you don’t want to say goodbye to the world you have discovered and explored and the characters that have somehow stolen a piece of your heart.  That’s how I felt when I finished reading the seventh book in the Harry Potter Series.  It’s like losing a beloved friend, a dependable companion that you know you could rely on to cheer you up and distract you from your woes. Melodramatic?  I think not.  A reader will understand.
I already have featured The Others in another post https://tometreats.wordpress.com/2016/07/24/obssessed-with-the-others/ so I’ll make this quick.

Etched in Bone written by Anne Bishop is the fifth and last book in The Others series. It’s not as action-packed as the previous novels in the series but it’s still as interesting and engaging as its predecessors.   This series is unlike anything I have ever read about vampires and shifters and fantastical creatures.  The Others doesn’t try to be anything but true to their nature – brutal predators.  A truth that’s often overlooked by humans who thought they are entitled to have everything as their due, not caring for other creatures that inhabit the Earth.

Have you read Etched in Bone?  What do you think of the series?
