What a way to begin the New Year

The month of January is yet to over. However, I am already bombarded with three death news. A family doctor of us for nearly 20 years had passed on suddenly, pastor’s aunty and finally an uncle from church that I’m very fond of.

Their passing, though not big, had definitely affected me. Especially the uncle from church. He was such a joy to be with. In fact, he seems like the only one who had truly asked me how am I doing or know more about me (well, other than my pastors). His presence in church, despite his inconvenience had been a great encouragement to all of us. He has many reasons to be angry with God, but yet, he chose not to. Instead, he honors God by continuing his service in His house. As every one gather at the funeral parlor, I struggle to hold my tears for him. I’m going to miss him a lot.

As sad as it sounded, I am also thankful to be a part of a beautiful wedding. It was a good time of fellowship and catching up.

Life is so unpredictable at times, treasures those around you.
