review 1: I was turned onto this book because it would be what one of my blog discussions was going to be about. I am so glad that I read this!The book follows the story of Jada and Jonathan. Jada is successful, sassy and someone that you want to be your friend. Jonathan is the arrogant, I get what I want, when I want it guy with a hidden heart of goldWe meet Jada a week before her wedding and from there, the drama explodes. This poor woman gets caught up in a ring of terrible lies and half truths. She escapes to Lake Tahoe where she encounters Jonathan Kole. He is instantly drawn to Jada and her bold fearlessness. There is some great back and forth between these two. From there the hits just keep on coming. Circumstances force Jada to keep pushing him away for his own good. After a... morenother turn of events that I didn't see coming, Jada and Johnny start spending more time together. As a relationship quickly blooms, the danger and guessing games quickly ensue. The story then follows the couple as they try to figure out what is really going on while trying to stay one step ahead of the threats that are coming from all sides, and who knows who they're actually coming from. Questions are finally answered and then there is another HUGE twist in the plot.There is a great cast of secondary characters. Bobby, Jada's brother is the big brother who will do everything he can for his sister. And her mother is "that mother". The one who tries to help but usually gets in the way more than she helps. There is also Jonathan's family. His parents and sister are a big part of his life and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how he interacted with them in various scenarios.Overall, Rebecca did an amazing job of blending the right amount of sweetness, hotness, humor, mystery and suspense in this novel. I absolutely recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a love story with a twist!
review 2: **this reviews contains an almost spoiler**I just finished Love, Lies & the DA last nite and all I can say is WOWFor only the 2nd time in my life I cried. I was the WTF and then the tears came. I thought for a minute that hopefully it was a set up but then I kept reading and I was like "noooooooooooo" and then I was like "thank frack for that". I love a book with a great twist and this one certainly gave you that, there was twist after twist after twist. I loved every character and the chemistry between Anthony and Jada was HOT to say the least.I cannot wait to read more from this amazaballs author less
