review 1: I'm not normally one for novellas, but I'm glad I read this one.Whether you love any-and-all vampire stories, or you're worn out on the run-of-the-mill "wimpy vamp" tales out there and want a different twist, this is a good read. It's fast paced with lots of action, a heroine who's tough without being so prickly you can't stand her, and a super hot hero you become attached to in a surprisingly short time.Definitely worth the time.
review 2: This is a somewhat short story about vampires. In Anchorage, Alaska, all the rumours you've heard about vampires are true: they can't walk in the sun, they can't enter houses without being invited and their energy is so powerful that they can't handle gadgets without blowing them to pieces. Therefore they rely on couriers/ru
... morenners to deliver their messages and packages, but usually these runners are short-lived. Mary Pike (whose real name is Sydney Kildare) is a courier to a very important vampire and she's preparing to retire as a war between another vampire and her "boss" erupts.Even though it's a story about vampires, this is quite an original take on the theme. I liked Mary a lot, not only she has quite an attitude as she drives an Audi! She'll of course meet a handsome vampire along the way, as well as some explosions. Quite an entertaining story that I honestly hope to see developed in a series or in a longer book. It definitely left me wanting more! less
