review 1: Started off very slow and boring. I really wanted to quit reading it. But about half way through I got hooked and realized there was a mystery to be solved. (I actually cheated and read the ending.) I knew there was something good coming, so I kept going. It got good at the end. A VERY BIG plot twist (for those who don't cheat). So all in all, I recommend it, just for the mystery and twist at the end.
review 2: Brought as a gift for me for my birthday, and I must admit it is not something I would usually read. I found the narrative hard at the start, and felt at points it became frustrating. I wasn't sure 50 pages in if I could continue but decided to persevere. I am glad i did. I found this a great story, with little of central story insights which show the di... morefference in characters. Tessa I found was instantly likeable and was able to relate to her. I did not like her sister Beatrice but she grows as a character throughout the book, and I feel you can't help warming to her. The plot twists made the book very enjoyable and it was a nice discovery I may have not made myself. Would I read a book like it again? Well as I said its not my usual, with a narrative of Beatrice talking to the police, and the book layer out like a series of letter. I can at least say that it is something I will look at again. As for the author Rosamund Lupton, I will certainly be looking out for more of her books in the future. 5 stars. less
