review 1: I was seduced by the pretty Europa edition of this book and the lure of a dark comic novel about southern California. Instead, it read like the outline of a script for a movie or TV show. The book could work well as one of those in the right hands, but as a novel it disappointed....

review 1: The author reminds me a lot of Carl Hiaasan in that the humor is very much the same. If you like this book I would suggest "Sick Puppy" where there are prostitutes who will serve only Republican clientele. I am not a fan of writing that seems forced to be humorous so I appreciate...
