review 1: Cut Your Grocery Bill in Half would be perfect for someone who has just downsized (or upsized their family). Although you could use any tips from the book, it would work best if you made a total commitment to use their system of doing things: grocery shopping infrequently (once a month), keeping a price book, meal planning, batch cooking, increasing your storage space so you can stock up during sales, buying a freezer, and having the whole family eat together at the same time. Although most of the advice wasn't new to me, it was motivating!
review 2: This is a great book full of tips on cost-cutting measures for feeding your family. Just be warned, if you don't have kids, they look down on you. Tips for singles and "empty nesters" are relegated to "bonus mate
... morerial" at the end, because a family automatically is one that has children that can help in food preparation, that instantly are willing to help (good luck if you have teens that have not been trained), and can rearrange their work schedules to have meals at home multiple times a week.Otherwise it's a good book, and I'm taking away plenty of tips to save money. less
