review 1: Ollie and Claire are best friends. Best best BEST friends. They swim together, they do yoga, they go to the track together. I kind of like these guys. They eat bologna. I eat bologna! But their routine is getting pretty stale, and Claire is beginning to wonder if there isn't something else out there for her. So when she sees a note tacked to a tree: "Travel friend wanted for round-the-world journey! Come circle the planet with me!" she stocks up on rubber bedsheets and lube and makes a plan. No! No, that's not what happens. That's what happened to friends of mine about 4 months before they got a divorce. And it wasn't a tree, it was Craigslist.No. Claire packs her SNOWSHOES and WATER WINGS (SHUT UP YOUR PERVERT MIND), thinking "Ollie won't mind if I leave him behind - this i... mores nothing he ever would do."It's kind of ok if you see where this is going - you're not a preschooler. Preschoolers have never even heard the Pina Colada Song. Not if they have good parents they haven't. But I don't know. It's pretty slight, and I'm not too sure relationship fatigue is something that's even an issue for kiddos that young. They're still pretty amazed they both like red popsicles.Of course the person who put the note on the tree turns out to be Ollie, and the two friends joyfully embark on a renewed life of mutual exploration. NO! SHUT UP! They get in a HOT-AIR BALLOON and go traveling! Instead of having a bitter knock-down drag-out fight, which is for damn sure what would happen if I found out my partner had taken out a personal ad.To sum up: It was my own lovely lady, and she said, "Oh, it's you"And we laughed for a moment, and I said, "I never knew. That you liked Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain And the feel of the ocean, and the taste of champagne.

It is OLLIE AND CLAIRE!LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this story. Clever concept and brilliant rhymes! It's essentially the pina colada song for kids! Ollie and Claire are best friends, but Claire is getting tired of their ho-hum routine. She finds a sign that says, "If you are looking for adventure, meet me here Monday at 4:00." She decides to pack her bags and take off on the trip of a lifetime, but when she shows up, guess who is waiting there for her? less
