review 1: His worst one, but he has some interesting ideas hidden in all the crap. The cooking sections are awful. The gear sections are awful. But I got it through the library, and skimmed through it. I like to keep Ferriss at a distance, but I also like to be aware of what he's coming up with, because every once in a while in these books he has a good idea. All of his books are "borrow from a friend" or "borrow from the library" books. I would never spend money on this, but it has a few interesting wrinkles in it.
review 2: There's two very good books in this, one about meta-learning, the other about learning to cook by reconnecting with both the nature and the science aspects of fixing food.Unfortunately, as much as I liked both parts, I don't think they go very well
... moretogether. In a book that mentions the combining of flavours so often, it's strange it tries to mix two very distinct tastes into one book.Overall, a good book, especially as a complement to the Four Hour Body, but doesn't really fulfill its promise. less

Finished Meta-Learning part. Will continue with the rest (it's bulky) sometime later.
