review 1: I had some difficulty getting into this book. The going back and forth in time seemed like it could have just been done in order and it would have made the book easier to read. I liked the story and the characters. Although, I was having an issue with Derek because I wasn't liking him as much because of his continued pursuit of Cass. I didn't have any issue with Lucy. I'm almost afraid to read the next book because I'm not sure if I will feel about Julian the way I did Derek in this book.
review 2: The Unexpected Duchess is a perfect summer read. It is a fun romp, with an appealing, spunky heroine and her equally interesting friends. Great sexual tension between the hero, who is extremely hot. Unique storyline, and an entertaining read for the beach, or a ... morestay-cation under the trees with a nice glass of wine. Ms. Bowman has a unique, rollicking writing style. I'll definitely read more of this series. less
