review 1: This book is perfectly described by the title, everything a child needs to know before they are five. In this book, it practices numbers, letters, colors, and seasons. I would use this book in my preschool classroom to allow the students to have mirrors for what they are learning. These are the concepts that are focused on in preschool, so when they see them inside a book and they know it, it will promote their self-esteem. This will provide mirrors for students to reflect and see what they are learning.(Baker's Dozen)
review 2: Fun concept book illustrated with tons of tiny toys! The toys are whimsical and old-fashioned and looked like the ones you find in Walter Wick's I Spy books. Covers concepts like numbers 1-10, opposites, and the alphabet. Some ideas wor... morek beautifully, like shapes. Others, like combining colors (red duck + yellow duck = orange duck?) or the alphabet (a doll in sunglasses and a skirt for S) were not always spot on. Still, lots of fun stuff to look at, and good practice for kindergarten concepts. less
