review 1: This novella is an intriguing start to the series. Linnet is devoted to her family, willing to buck convention, and refuses to turn her life over to a man. Anthony pursues Linnet, even when she tries to avoid him. The chemistry and connection between Anthony and Linnet is very apparent. I loved how Anthony was determined to pursue Linnet and was so willing to provide any assistance that Linnet might require. Dominic and Chloe were interesting secondary characters.
review 2: Enjoyed this book very much. What some other reviewers seemed to fail to understand about Linnet was that she WAS attracted to Anthony and didn't like it or want to understand that attraction. Spinster ladies didn't have those feelings AND she didn't believe she could be seen as attract... moreive or desireable because of her size. He saw many of the qualities of her strong and caring personality as she did his!!! Hoping to read the others in this series as even as young as he was, Dominic showed strong integrity and caring in his wanting to help Chloe. less
