review 1: In the book “The Way it Works” by William Kowaski, Davis is a young man that struggles in his life after his mother deaths. His mother died from cancer. They had a perfect life he graduated from high school and got his associates degree. His mom had gave him a suit case and a brief case to start his own business. When his mom died he didn't have anything else. He couldn't pay the apartment rent he was kicked out of his apartment. He met a girl and arranged a date. Davis had few money but still went to eat dinner. He didn't even think about that. He didn't tell the girl he was homeless. After a couple of weeks he invited the girl again. The problem was he slept in in his car and they towed his car and he couldn't get there. He went to see her and they fixed there proble... morems. Then after a while they got married and they continued the business that Davis had begun. The business was as a carrier. They had many employees. Davis life changed a lot. It started really bad with many difficulties but at the end it had a really happy ending.
review 2: This is considered a Rapid Read, and a I grabbed it at the library because it seemed like a book that would be easy to read in an afternoon(which is is by the way).It's told in the first person, a homeless guy looking for a job and how things turn around for him.The sentences are very short, dialogue a bit cut and dry. But the story as a hold is one of hope and how a bad situation can turn good and then you can turn around and give good back to someone else. I enjoyed reading it. less
