review 1: I thought this was one of the best paranormal books I've read in a long time. The heroine was strong, the hero was alpha, the secondary characters played a big part in the story and the book left a lot of room for sequels. I enjoyed the Egyptian type history and lore added in, there was action and angst, and length, while I thought the end wrapped up a bit fast, I still think this was five star worthy. I look forward to the next adventure -Forgotten in Darkness.
review 2: I was given this book to read as part of the read to review for the sequel in exchange for an honest review via Lovers of Paranormal. I have read many 'immortal warrior' books and this is up there with the best of them.I love to read books with humour interspersed with dramatic moments - in ... morereal life that is how many of us deal with stress. This book has lots of funny banter between the characters. This book has it all. The funny moments, the sentimental aww moments, suspense, supernatural, drama, history, action, you name it it's here. There is plenty of back story so each character is well formed and there is something extremely likeable about all the good guys, even Markus who is so self absorbed in fight or flight moments yet there is no malice or bad side to him. The Ashor, Kira relationship is great and it's so good to see the lighter side of Ashor. Read it !! I would say more but have to get on with the sequel :-) less
