review 1: To be honest, this wasn't nearly as funny as I thought it would be based on the reviews. I am a huge fan of Jenny Lawson, Jen Lancaster, and Laurie Notaro, and this didn't compare. Don't get me wrong...there were funny parts, especially at the beginning, but after that I practically had to force myself to finish it. The author makes good points and gives sound advice, but it just missed the mark on comedy. Also, I'm not sure if it was just my experience, but the formatting on the cloud reader for Kindle was horrendous. I sometimes read on my computer at the office, and the font size changed with every paragraph. It was extremely annoying. It was a bit better on my Kindle, but still had some issues.
review 2: I loved this book! It was a quick light read
... morethat kept me laughing throughout the whole book. Her ambition to be a Secret Agent gives you an idea of her quirky sense of humor. When her dreams of being Agent 007 are dashed due to a tiny illegal matter she embraces *GASP* motherhood. The stories of her and her husband's struggles with raising 2 young daughters are hilarious. If you are a parent you will recognize yourself in this book. Mix yourself a drink and prepare to be entertained! less
