Angel Time was a very intriguing read. The main character, an assassin named Toby O'Dare, is facing religious doubt and insecurity. He's a character who desperately wants to believe in God, but, because of his horrible past circumstances, is instead pushing himself further away from Him. Once the angel, Malchiah, appears in the story Toby starts to change and recognize that he has not fallen short of God's forgiveness.Overall, I believe that Toby's experience has provided him with a grander view of life and the importance of remaining true to his religion. I definitely will pick up the next book in Anne Rice's wonderful series!

This was AWFUL. It's really hard to see how the same mind that produced the Lestat legacy and the Mayfair witches saga could've written this. I made it to chapter 3, and all of those pages were flowery descriptive passages about hotels and monasteries. I learned nothing about the protagonist except that he's a contract killer who likes to read and play the lute. This was beyond disappointing, and after the schlock that was "The Wolf Gift", I think I'm done reading any new works by Anne Rice.
