A few great stories. "Vacuum," "Visitation," "Water Dog God," and "Noon" are probably the best.
These stories are real downers of unrest and eccentricity--but worth the read.
southern writing at its almost-best. highly recommend.
Particularly enjoyed the first and the last stories.
