Classic old school hard boiled detective novel from the 1940s. Well done blast from the past.
Intricately plotted. Reading it was like watching a classic Warner Brothers noir from the 40s.
Just started reading. Very tight writing, not a boring minute so far and written in 1945!
A little dated, but then, it's a P.I. novel from 1945, so it should be.
