So I picked this book up from my local library because I had just finished reading A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray and I adored that book. This book in my opinion wasn't quite as good. While I think the premise of werewolves on the Titanic is so strange and almost comical it's genius, I felt certain aspects of the book could have been played up. I liked Tess I wasn't ever terribly annoyed with her or her actions. I did feel that the romance between Tess and Alec wasn't that epic; I never felt their connection. I take issue when authors write unspoken connections (or destined connections) because it is harder to convey. Because I wasn't so invested in the relationship it was harder to sink my teeth into and enjoy the book to the extent other readers did.

I've always been a fan of Titanic history, and found it humorous and intriguing that werewolves were on the Titanic voyage in this book! The fantasy element wasn't too overbearing though. The Brotherhood/initiation blade history was easy enough to follow. The constant back and forth between Tess and Alec was annoying. They kept saying goodbye, but then finding each other again! It took quite awhile for the sinking of the ship(almost 300 pages in) and I felt that it was rushed. However, I did appreciate that the author stuck close to what actually happened with the Titanic and Carpathia rescue!
