Katie Roiphe is literary chocolate. Dark and delicious. When I finished the book, i craved more.
Very, very uneven. The good essays are brilliant and thought-provoking. Many others are not.
a few of the essays failed to engage me, but others made up for it.
how i like my literature these days - lean, brief and cutting
Essay on East Asia is the highlight.
