This book was the happiest surprise I've ever gotten. Not just with books, but with life in general. The characters are surprisingly real and relatable. We all have friends who are like these characters, or we are them ourselves. There are no false expectations, but the story of a guy who just wants his girl back. It's sad, but so happy and beautiful at the same time. You find yourself rooting for this guy you barely know. Throughout the whole book, which I could not put down for a second, I was smiling. Ladies and gentlemen, this book is brilliant to say the least.

Another one of those books that is talked about as a man's version of Bridget Jones. I liked the whole chick lit from a male point of view idea, although I didn't think it was as good as Bridget Jones. The character Dan got on my nerves repeatedly. Kind of like Sam on Cheers, or Joey on Friends without any of the charm. That said I would probably read another one in the series (since this is listed as (Ed and Dan #1, I assume there are more).

Funny. Lots of one liners. Perfect "weekend-after-breakfast" book.
