I read most of this book when it was originally published as segments on Pioneer Woman's blog. I enjoyed getting to read the entire story in one place and discovering the twists of the honeymoon and what followed. The courtship and marriage are such a whirlwind that I fear they promote the kind of incredibly passionate, totally unrealistic romance of Harlequin novels. I wouldn't recommend what PW and MM did, honestly! But the description of increasing love and stirring passion - and all the sad and humorous interludes - were compelling despite my uneasiness.

I enjoy her recipes and show but I'm still wondering why we need to know her love story. felt like I was reading a teenagers diary. I think what bothered me most was her stuttering while speaking as her brother. it just wasn't necessary and her attitude about brother was awful. which is sad to me because I've seen him on her show. so either her attitude is drastically different now or she's fake on the show.
