In this intense supernatural thriller Simon W Clark shrewdly leaves readers hanging in a constant state of uncertainty and wonder, cloaking the characters' motives throughout the novel. I read in his snippet autobiography that the author had an interest in the occult, and this was certainly demonstrated by the level of detail on the topic. Even though sometimes I had a conflict of conscious with the taboo subject matter of the occult, the outcome/pleasure immeasurably outweighed the expense and energy invested.
Superbly kept me on edge with really great material this book is a page turner!
Best and most original book I have read all year. Gave me a super buzz!
DNF The book is boring. Got through 40% and the story is crap.
Absolutely atrocious.
