review 1: Such a moving book. Sensitive, detailed memoir of a daughter growing up in the 70s and 80s in San Francisco with her gay father. Great accounts of the poetry scene there in the early 70s and 80s and then, an in depth account of the AIDS crisis and its tragic repercussions on art, and life in the city. Very interesting perspective on this scene and time period, one that I had not read before and was incredibly moved by.
