review 1: As I have mentioned before, I have been very intrigued by this story from the first time I heard about it- which was 4 years ago. It was so good to hear the story from Amanda's point of view. I cannot believe everything she went through and is continuing to go through. The entire ordeal makes me angry and sad. But I loved the book and could not put it down. Thank you, Amanda, for sharing your story with me.
review 2: Regardless of whether you think she's innocent or guilty, I think this book should be required reading for anyone 30 years of age or younger who will be traveling overseas for the first time. If you somehow, through your actions or circumstance, get put in a precarious situation in a foreign country, know how to get in touch with the American E... morembassy and lawyer up. And, if possible, leave the country. less
