review 1: I read this book at a time that my father was interested in writing a book. Reading Amy's autobiography and hearing her honest descriptions of life was enlightening in a way of a modern form of writing. Most biographies I've read have been about people who are dead and gone.This story was also special in that I live in the town of Freeville. So I was familiar with amany of the locations Amy was describing.g
review 2: I totally enjoyed this book! My favorite thing, at this time of the year, is to haul my lounge chair out in the yard & read. This book was PERFECT for that. It is a very quick, fluffy read. I always wondered how someone became an advice columnist & now I know! Amy struck me as being very down to earth, creative, resourceful & a great Mom. She
... morewas certainly someone I could relate to as a single parent & I enjoyed "meeting" her extended family. I would love to "Ask Amy" to dinner coz by the end of the book, she felt like a kindred spirit & friend. less
