review 1: This book Is extremely funny and clearly written by two people who have learned to laugh at themselves and life. I don't understand the negative reviews unless the reader was looking for specific marital advice and this was not the book for that. It was a humorous look at one couples life and how they make through. l laughed even at the sad parts. life is too short not to. This is not the book for you if you are trying self help but it is a funny take on marriage and lessons in humor and life.
review 2: This book caught my eye at the store, and I was hoping that it would be funny only to discover that it really wasn't. I will admit that I found parts of the book fairly amusing, thus why I have given it two stars, but for the most part the book was extreme
... morely dull and would have benefited from being much shorter. I am a fan of long novels, 500 pages or more, so for me to say that a book that is less than 300 is too long is saying something. Honestly, the authors would have been too much for me to take had they authored nothing longer than a pamphlet. In fact, some of the pamphlets I see at the dentist's office discussing the ins and outs of root canals seem more interesting than the subject matter presented in this book under the care of Gurwitch and Kahn. The subject itself was one I was extremely interested in, but even the parts that could be considered halfway decent drug on too long. Frankly, I found myself longing for the end but not so I could discover how it would all turn out but instead because all I wanted was to be done with the book. Everything from the dull beginning thru the mediocre middle to the sugary sweet, nauseating end in this supposedly hilarious book did nothing but disappoint. I would not say I wish the authors an end to their allegedly unconventional union, but let us hope that they never get it into their heads to write a sequel. May they have many years of wedded bliss... as long as I don't have to hear about it! There are few books I would not suggest to someone, even books I do not particularly like, but this book rates at the top of the list of books I would caution everyone from reading. Honestly, there are too many books out there to read to waste your time on something as disappointing as this. less

Not impressed. Not sorry I read it though. They're just a bit too proud of themselves for me.
