review 1: Loved this book. One of the best books I have read in a while! I did not expect to get drawn in to this story so quickly, but it was a page turner. I had not thought about PTSD affecting someone in this way before, and the author presented a great twist. Though short in length, the novel packs a punch and leaves you emotionally invested in the characters lives in the way that any great novel does.
review 2: Talk about a fast read! Because this book literally takes place during a four hour period, it is best to read in one sitting. From experience, do not take this book on a vacation of any sorts especially if you would like to stretch out your reading over various hours and days. I say this because of it's impressively brief length and short duration it should ... moretake to get from cover to cover. This book will not change any perspectives, nor will your spiritual, emotional, or intellectual beliefs be challenged, yet McDowell will question her reader's true colors in times of crisis. less
