review 1: Bill Russell joined the Boston Celtics in 1957. A time where there was a lot of racial judgement. Bill and his coach, Red Auerbach made a friendship that helped them on the basketball court. In the book Bill talks about his and Red's relationship on and off the court. This book will teach you a lot about Basketball, leadership, race relations and friendship. I recommend this book to mostly boys. It had some strong language. And it can teach you that all people should be equal. Bill Russell was a huge motivator for blacks. He was the one of the first prominent black basketball star. And his coach Red helped him to become a great coach just like his lifelong friend Red.
review 2: I thought the book was great. Red Auerbach was one of the greatest coaches ever in t
... morehe NBA. He was also agreat friend to one ofthe teams greatest star Bill Russell. This book will show the realationship between the two. Also a person that would like this book would be a person that is into sports there mist likes to read about coaches.Or there might be readers that just like to read biographahies. I hope I have influenced you to read Red and Me less

Even though I know pretty much nothing about basketball, I enjoyed reading this book.
