review 1: I downloaded this because I thought it sounded reasonably interesting from the blurb on Overdrive. Really, I needed an audiobook to distract me. I am not a football fan and had no idea who Kurt Warner was. I was touched and inspired by Brenda's story of faith and strength. This book is a real page-turner, a story well told, and did not disappoint. I will likely be thinking about this book for some time.
review 2: Brenda Warner initially suffered through much adversity in her life. She has not always been married to a former NFL professional football player. While always looking after her children and trying to scrape together enough money to pay her bills and keep her faith in tact, she solidly stood her ground to be a hardworking, respectable person that
... more held her head high regardless of the situations she faced repeatedly. When Kurt Warner caught her eye, it was years before they would marry and begin their life together. Brenda was not a pushover. She played by her own rules. Although Kurt loved her children from the beginning, they both wanted to fill their home with children. Brenda was the witness that lived her life in front of Kurt and gave him a different perspective about how important a person's faith is and how dedicated she was to sharing the Lord with Kurt. With a house full of children, Brenda and Kurt Warner continue to do much good in this world and they share their faith in God every chance they get. less
