review 1: This book is actually more of a memoir than its title suggests. The focus is the author's life story, interspersed with the five "regrets" or life lessons she gleaned from her work as a care giver. Even the "patients" are actually composites, not necessarily real, specific individuals. While I don't completely share the author's views or philosophy, I found her story interesting enough to stick with it. As for the advice, there's nothing new that hasn't been covered on Oprah. In fact, if you enjoy Super Soul Sunday, you'd probably like this book.
review 2: As a nurse, I often see patients and families going through end of life decisions, so I was intrigued by Ware's insights into the top regrets people have as they face the immediacy of their death. Also, I
... more've been trying to move towards living my life so as to not have major regrets. Ware's book confirmed what I had suspected about living our best lives with courage and authenticity. I didn't realize before reading the book that this was also part memoir for the author Bronnie Ware. Much of her own story I could have done without but it wasn't entirely dull or unnecessary. Overall, I found the book beneficial and a way to reevaluate our own lives today. less

Pretty good. Some of the last few chapters could have been shortened, but I enjoyed it overall.
